Wedding Rehearsal

The rehearsal went pretty smoothly and was fun! The only glitch we experienced was that the Pastor seemed to be on a different page then we were as far as the music was concerned. For some reason, he had it in his mind that I was walking down the ailse to "Here comes the Bride" instead of "Cannon D" as planned, which caused some delay and confusion. Once all of that was ironed out... everything else was a piece of cake. Jeff had decorated the archway a few days before and the flowers in the garden were blooming beautifully! Our reception was going to be outside as well, and the tables, chairs, and tent had arrived the day before. While we were busy with the wedding rehearsal, some of Jeff's other family members were starting to set up all the tables and everything was beginning to take shape.

Kathleen and Jeff at the Rehearsal

During rehearsal, Jeff literally made me weak in the knees... at the part where he normally would have said "I Do"... he said "Always and Forever" instead... I was floored! That's something he and I say to each other all the time and Jeff thought it was more fitting for us than "I Do". I had tears in my eyes, as this was a suprise that Jeff had planned for me in the ceremony! The Pastor thought it was a beautiful touch! Once rehearsal was over, we began to help finish setting everything up and take care of all those last minute details!

With everything done and evening approaching, Helen and my sister thought it was a good time for me to open up a gift. They had bought me a "Miss Bachelorette" sash to wear... how embarrasing!! Then it was time to go... Jeff and I said goodnight and told each other how much we loved one another. It was going to be hard being away from each other, as this would be the first night in almost 3 years that we were apart! Jeff said he would call me later in the evening to say goodnight. And, we were off... my "bachelorette party" had officially begun...
