Our Engagement
December 5, 2002 started off as just an ordinary Thursday evening. Jeff came home from work a little later than usual that day. He was hiding something in his hand behind his back. He brought his arm around and in his hand was a small black ring box. I knew immediately what it was, as we had talked about marriage and I had a feeling what he was up to... but just didn't expect this to happen on this night! Jeff got down on one knee, took the ring out of the box, and asked me to marry him. I, of course, said yes! He told me that he originally intended to propose to me on Christmas Eve, but was just too excited and couldn't wait!!
It is a beautiful ring, which Jeff designed himself with the help of the jeweler, so that the smaller diamonds on the band of my engagement ring, on either side of the setting, line up perfectly with the diamonds on the band of my wedding ring!
