The Ceremony

Bride on Rose Pedals
Here comes the BrideJeff and John (The Best man)

The music started and from where I was standing, I could see Jeff and the best man walking up to the altar area. My sister was next to walk down the aisle and then the music got a little louder and it was my turn!! I rounded the corner and Jeff and I saw one another for the first time!! He was gorgeous and ahead of me was a path of rose petals Jeff sprinkled for me to walk on... it was beautiful! I was very nervous... and by this time, the nerves had really set in!! Now the original plan was to have my grandmother walk with me, but she waited for me at the altar and actually gave me away!! That was a special moment and something I didn't anticipate! When I got closer to Jeff, I could see he had tears in his eyes and once we were standing next to each other all he could say was how beautiful I was. I literally took his breath away. Wow!!! I was tearing up as well and kept telling him not to make me cry.

Lighting the CandleOur Vows

The ceremony was beautiful... we lit 4 candles for our loved ones who had passed away and could not be there physically to share this day with us (my parents and grandfather and Jeff's mother). We did have one mishap with the lighting of the unity candle though... as we were lighting the unity candle, my candle fell out of the holder and onto the ground!! I wasn't sure if I should pick it up or not, but the Pastor said to not worry about it... at least we lit the unity candle before my candle fell and we all had a good chuckle! We said our vows, and exchanged rings... then we were pronounced Husband and Wife!!! We walked back down the aisle to the end of the yard where we could greet our guests and they offered their congratulations.... many tears and many hugs!
