Never to be heard
they now form
on my lips

I catch my breath
in an attempt
to keep them
from being released
but I am too late

They float through the air
through the darkness
to find the heart of your soul
but you do not hear them

My true feelings are
unknown and now
my words are lost
forever between us

We will never again be
in this moment of time
Where the words whispered
